Mind‑Body Techniques for Deep Change

I specialise in hypnotherapy and coaching, a mind–body approach that’s helped many people overcome anxiety, trauma, pain and more. Hypnosis simply means a state of deep relaxation and focused attention, like guided meditation with a purpose. In this relaxed state, your mind becomes more open to calming perspectives, allowing us to replace fear and tension with peace and confidence. You always remain in control; I use gentle verbal cues, visualisation and breathing techniques to guide you. Alongside hypnosis, coaching adds goal‑setting, coping skills and new habits that support your mental wellness. This blend of subconscious work and conscious coaching creates a powerful synergy for change.

Issues I Specialise In

  • Anxiety & PTSD: Calm the overactive fight‑or‑flight response; gently desensitise triggers that provoke panic or flashbacks; and build new associations of safety. Studies show hypnosis can significantly reduce PTSD symptoms and improve sleep. Over time, intrusive memories fade and a sense of calm returns.

  • Chronic Pain: Many people with chronic pain have experienced trauma; stress can sensitise the nervous system and amplify discomfort. Through hypnosis, we help retrain your brain’s response to pain and teach it to dial down pain intensity. You learn to shift focus away from discomfort and address emotional factors like anger or fear.

  • Insomnia: Trouble falling asleep, waking up often or racing thoughts at night often accompany trauma. Hypnotic relaxation reprograms your sleep routines; in hypnosis we ease racing thoughts, teach your mind to associate bedtime with calm and address subconscious barriers to sleep. Research shows hypnotherapy can improve both acute and chronic insomnia.

  • Online Sessions: All sessions are conducted online. Research indicates online hypnotherapy is as effective as in‑person sessions. You can work with me from the comfort of home, eliminating travel and letting you relax in your favourite chair.

What to Expect

Every session offers a safe, supportive environment. There’s no pressure to talk about anything you aren’t ready to share. Many people find hypnosis deeply soothing, a respite from chaos, where you can relax more deeply than ever before. I guide you step by step, and you remain in control throughout. We might spend part of the time discussing your challenges and goals, and part practising relaxation techniques. You’ll leave each session with something practical: an insight, a coping strategy or simply feeling lighter than when you arrived. Between sessions, I may suggest simple exercises or audio recordings to reinforce your progress.
